As I remember, the gameplay didn't give you much to interact with. You could get your players to go to the other end or the like, and occasionally one of your player's would tackle one of the other team or visa versa, but so long as you listened out for that goal sound, stopped the other team scoring, and then made sure to goal kick as soon as you were over the centre line, you could pretty much win any match hands down, indeed I think I finished one match 19 nill. that was when I decided against buying the game, despite the fact I liked some of the gameplay ideas as well as all the different countries and players.
