Re: [blind-gamers] Give me your thoughts
Me personally I don't think it is wrong. Especially if you purchased the software. I also don't think it is wrong if the developer just up and left with no trace to contact the developer. That is just like Bavisoft and VipGamesZone. It is sad for those who want to get a copy of a software that is no longer available for purchase and download. I personally don't see anything wrong with giving that person a crack to activate the software. Obviously the developer don't care what happens to their software. If the developer care for what happens with their software then they would do a couple of things. One they would unlock it so that people could get it. Two they would at least have a way for you to contact them to get the software even if you have to pay for it. I see this happening a lot in the audio game world. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group. Re: [blind-gamers] Give me your thoughts
Hmmm it would depend on the dev in question. www.agarchive.net should have most of the devs excluding bavisoft and a few others but most devs are at least indexed and you can get downloaded game installers at least. The first thing is to probably try to contact the dev, failing that, since most if not all games to an extent are indexed on the audiogames forum, contact one of their admins and ask if they have heard anything. If they can't reach it then, you can probably crack away, and even post it. However its worth noting that this has only happened twice in gaming history. 1. bavisoft. They disappeard and the only thing they ever did was state that don't pirate our stuff. The admins on audiogames.net did put out several public and private communication attempts, but after that with no responce, they simply changed status to unknown. As long then as you are sure that the dev doesn't come back and yell about his stuff then you probably can do whatever. Then you have devs like codefactory that just bailed out of games. The only 3 devs that actually allowed this are, bsc and danz, which don't count as danz just released patches to remove their reg system and bsc initially sold their keygen, then after they went away with communication from the audiogames admins actually allowed the sharing of their generator. The only spaciffic time cracks were allowed where when pbgames titles got cracked but were discontinued due to age. In this reguard the dev allowed the cracks and the stuff was shared on the audiogames archive. What game is this exactly. My first thing would to search the audiogames.net database and agarchive.net because you probably have the solution. If none of those work, the audiogames mod team may be able to see, of course you should try to contact all ways the developer. Unofficially there have probably been several devs dropping out on record or off the record as the case may be but not everyone is on the database. [blind-gamers] Give me your thoughts
If a developer is no where to be found. Their site and server are no more. Which means you can't purchase, download and even activate the software. Would it be wrong to use a crack to be able to activate the software? Would it be wrong to do this even if you purchased the software in the past? I am wondering your thoughts on this. I am not encouraging cracking software. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Groups.io Links: You receive all messages sent to this group. Hi, I know I dropped a comment on the audio games forum, but wanted to say here too, Great Job on this second part of the video, really enjoyed it, thought you did a really good job on describing the battles in game too. Would highly recommend anyone who hasn’t already checked out these videos to give them a watch, the audio description is excellent. [blind-gamers] BlindMaster v0.9
Hello all, Yesterday I released a little game that I was working on the past few days. It is called BlindMaster and it's a logic game about deducing a secret code by listening to audio hints provided by the computer. The game is available for Windows and Linux. http://blindmaster.sourceforge.net This is my first attempt at creating an accessible game, hence I certainly made many ergonomic mistakes. The current version is 0.9 and it is a beta production. The audio recordings are all computer generated, this will change in future versions to feature proper human recordings.
