Let that woman not feel bad about the rust hole fill up Dale. We had a
blonde male neighbor who in the later 70's put the gas on a slow feed
while they still as you say , wash the windows and check the oil. all
that gas was in the parking lot of a Shell station. it was found out

Lee, I had a 76 Buick Regal where the gas tank was filled by laying the
spring loaded license plate down on the bumper. Don't know when the auto
industry stopped making cars with rear end spouts to fill the gas tank.

We had a 1954 ford four door with the filler under a swing down rear
plate.
Later fifties cheveys and caddeys had it under a flip up left
rear tail light.
