Aloha from Sheryl,
I want to construct a sidewalk that goes around my house part of the
way. I want to stay with a period look 1920. I've priced pavors at
several stores including the local hardwear store and big box stores

Sheryl,
Bags of pre-mixed concrete come in 40, 60 or 80 pound bags. You just add
water, mix, and pour. However, saying it is approximately 1 times
easier than doing it.
Firstly, an 80 pound bag of mix feels as if it weighs more like 160 pounds
as you try and move it around.
Secondly,
around. I believe
my wife and I poured about 70 feet of the walk. Plus the neighbor liked it so
well, loan her the forms.

Aloha, Where would I get the forms and what
would I ask for? How much do the bags of pre
mixed concrete weigh? Should it probably be
available at Home Depot or another
Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] Ideas about constructing sidewalk welcome.
I got the forms at lowes or Home Depot. The pre-mix is 80 pounds and the cost
was around $4 a bag. These forms come in rock or brick shape and I think I paid
$16 for the form. Just ask for the forms for sidewalks

There is not a very good selection of any kind. I've thought of
Aloha Sheryl,
I'm curious to know if any of the pavers you saw
had a curved edge since you mentioned you wanted
a gentle curve. I don't know much about them.
