If you put a hostname in the proxy field Blink will use as per standard RFC 3263
https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3263.txt Which is first NAPTR then SRV then A record. the port is fetched from DNS. You may paste the logs from Blink where DNS lookups are logged if you think it is not done right.
