you know how to install i-Bus Braille on Linux Mint?
https://github.com/zendalona/ibus-braille
I downloaded the ibus-braille_1.1-1_all.deb, but get an error dependency not
satisfiable.
Rather use
apt install ./ibus-braille_1.1-1_all.deb
that'll resolve the dependencies.

Maybe a packages search of mint may find the event sounds if those are
even available.

Hi,
I added a new entry using the startup programs utility and used the
following command:
paplay /usr/share/sounds/LinuxMint/stereo/desktop-login.ogg
Now, when I login, that sound plays.
I have not been able to find the various event sounds in Mint. I have
even had a sighted person go into
Hi,
Accessible Coconut has a nice startup sound.
But Mint has no sound. Is there a way to have a sound play at startup?
Thanks,

edition I could lay my hands on, which was Linux
mint, mate edition.
Unfortunately, it comes by the fault with BRLTTY 6.0, which is no use to me,
since my humanware BrailleOne is not supported under that version of BRLTTY.
How would you go about installing BRLTTY 6.3 under Linux mint?
Warm regards
Hi everybody,
I apologize for the cross post, but I do need help.
After about a week of fighting with pulseaudio, again, I reinstalled my system
with the first iso I could get my hands on.
In this case, Linux mint, mate edition.
My problem comes in, in mint, Mate, The BRLTTY version is 6.0
for
collecting more telemetry than other Distros. I don't know if this is still
true, or if Ubuntu has improved in recent times.
So I was thinking maybe Linux Mint with MATE? Apparently Linux Mint is based on
Ubuntu, but without the telemetry. Do any of you have experience with Linux
Mint with MATE
.
Once the system is logged in it is pretty responsive and for the record
I'm running version 18 of linux-mint code named Sarah.
I'm going to go and see what I can find on line about linux-mint

I got the current iso to install. It wasn't too bad for installing
either. I'll find out a little later today how to work the login screen
so I can get orca up and talking on it too. The strange thing with
linux-mint is when I booted from the install disk I heard chimes then hit
