No, that's not possible. 5208R is based on RHEL6 and 5209R is RHEL7.

No, 5209R uses CentOS 7 and 5208R uses CentOS 6 or SL 6. A direct
upgrade of the OS is not feasible.
Hence the way to go from any older BlueOnyx to a BlueOnyx 5209R is:
- cmuExport
- re-image with 5209R
- cmuImport.
