Anyone tried putting either nobody or /dev/null in the mail forwarding
via the GUI ??? I know this works on other Linux boxes to simply bit-bucket

Hmmm, ok that shows ftpd is not starting, if you still have the proftpd.conf
file commented to be standalone, try starting it from the command line
with DEBUG set: EG: /usr/sbin/proftpd -d 5 -m
and see what it says on your screen (might be a fair amount of data).

Sounds like http did not restart after the logrotate.
You might try service httpd stop, then check for any
processes still running; if any kill them, then service httpd start
and see what that does.

Yep, been discussed, take them out from between the Begin and End
Nuonce lines and it will leave them there. Correct way is to lookup
each IP and if it responds with a name use that, but the current script
just uses hostname (the box) for all IP is serves.

While I agree with Chris and Tom (use the GUI),
the correct place if you are going to make manual changes
is /etc/mail/aliases as I believe that is the one actually used by
the system.

is updated with the new value, but the httpd error_log entry
has remained the same since the problem started with a value of 16777216
Even rebooted the entire box this morning just to make sure something
was not getting restarted correctly or such and no change in the error.

Looks like you are adding the entry after the default "acctin"
rule. Do a full list of the iptables -n -L | less and see where
the drop rule is in the list of actions. I suspect it is second
or third in the list which means packets first go to the acctin
rule, then get processed.

Have a 5209R that when trying to login (admin), the
login page just loops (says waiting on server, then login page
re-appears). Does this for standard and https login attempts.
No error messages in logs.

No specific idea on the SSL, but check the new systems /etc/hosts
file. The 5209 seems to put everything in there under the name of
the server instead of the actual site names. Suspect that you will
find everything in /etc/hosts lists the server vice the sites.

Thanks for the response, I found out it was the DNS
setting for the domain that was apparently causing it.
The old domain and new domain were cname aliased
to the www address. Once I removed that cname
everything started working correctly again.

where it appears to stay.

Thanks Michael, did a reboot and it seems to have cleared it up.
Had tried the systemctl restart sendmail but not the killall and don't think
it was killing all the processes. Will note this for future reference.
