like the file to be overwritten during updates of the base-sitestats-scripts
package. Should be no big deal to just create it as .rpmnew if rpm detects the

localhost.localdomain. Thus it is impossible to administer it over its web

1) After an import via cmuImport the aliases are shown in the GUI but not
inserted into the apache config. If I edit something in the GUI (add or delete

This is the entry needed for changing directory to /web by default. Maybe this
has changed through the update of proftpd?

one of our servers automatically installed an update of the aforementioned
package. The webserver did not start again after that with the error message

thanks for the very detailed explanation. For me the first part of it is
sufficient: The GUI doesn't let you enter characters that cce doesn't allow.
This is what I suspected. This is the interface for people without deeper
knowledge which have to be protected from errors like
Plus one from me: we also had a site where "Web Alias Redirects" was set after
the renewal of the LE cert although it wasn't set before. The patched base-ssl
had already been installed (5209).

Your problem seems to be that /tmp is mounted non-executable. This is the
default in BO and it is good that it is. But you can remount it executable
mount -o remount,noexec /tmp (logged in via shell as root)
and install your needed packets.
To stay safe be sure to remount /tmp
