Our Engineering Dept have reached the point where they need to replace the
fittings due to age and deterioration of our background lighting in our
Operating Theatres. They have thought of going LED rather than fluoro as
current.

Just from using LED lighting in a domestic situation I know some LED's
strobe very badly (more than fluro's), and I wouldn't use them in a
workshop where there may be rotating machinery. This is probably not a
problem in an operating theatre, but it could be a consideration.
