I have many concerns over the 2 tube 813 transmitter.
Several failure modes could destroy both tubes. It is overly simplified to
reduce component count.

My first novice rig was a General Electronics TN-75 transmitter and a
HQ-129X receiver.
The TN-75 had a 6CL6 crystal oscillator and a 807 final, with a 5U4 rectifier.
It only had two bands, 80 and 40 meters, but I only had a 40 meter plug in coil.
It would be nice to have one again even t
That is a neat little radio for its time.
I like how they advertised it as having mechanical filters, however they are
ceramic filters.
Technically, I guess, they could be considered mechanical filters.
I have two of them.

I have 3 HG10B VFO's, One looks great the others need dial drums and bezels.
It just occurred to me that someone with a 3D printer could make a bezel. It

I did a similar thing years ago to make a connector for a probe for a B&K
(Dutch) frequency selective volt meter.
I got a socket and removed the metal mounting piece around it, poked in some
appropriate sized copper wires as far as I could.
Wrapped some tape around it to make a tubular shell as

You have to understand that HC49S crystals can't handle the power that FT-243
crystals can.
They are more fragile than the larger ones. Be careful when using them in
vacuum tube applications.
Heating may not fracture them but may cause chirp and drift.

Now, I have a question. There is an experiment I always wanted to try if I

Is it still accurate? Can you check it WWV perhaps or a well calibrated crystal

I have one with leather case , schematic cards etc.
don't have accessories. It does have a very nice built in key for CW and a
thin leather patch on the leather case for CW just over the button.
However, if you have a Geiger counter within 10 yards it will go crazy.
