Sorry to hear of your Boom's demise, fingers crossed it's just the power
adapter (have you tried wriggling the power plug connector in the back
of the Boom, they can get dirty and lose contact).
There's a few threads around here that cover dis-assembly and repair...

Returned from holiday the other day, and on powering on my Boom again
noticed that there was nothing on the display. I've had a look around
the other threads here, and most people seem to get some sign of life
