YSTFSW050
One of my Booms is a kitchen player and it's time to get some bass !
Don't want anything too overpowering (Boom has modest output) and I was
looking at the Yamaha YSTFSW050. It seems well regarded and good value.
Any thoughts on this model ?
Would it be reasonable to place the Boom d
Hello
I have my 2 beloved Booms since they came on the market, both connected
to subwoofers almost from day 1.
They are used frequently (with significant proportion of bass-heavy
music), but rarely above 50 on volume scale.
I haven't noticed any deterioration in sound (but that doesn't mean

Hello
Recently I've had some disappearing presets from a Boom when it has been
alternated between LMS 7.9x and MySB.com.
Sync option in MySB.com page of LMS web interface has been disabled for
many years (which, when enabled, was a recognised cause in the past).
What else could cause this ?

How do I tell that the speakers have the widely reported problem ?
I can't really see the speakers in detail through the grills, and don't
really want to take them off if possible.
Is it audibly obvious ?

Hello
I fear that one of my beloved units has now developed the dreaded
speaker detachment issue.
Listening to a rather bass-heavy MJ Cole track and some rather
unpleasant flatulent sounds could be heard from one of the speakers.
This Boom (like my other) has always been paired with a subwoofer
Thank you

I have 2 Booms from way back - both in perfect working order (although
rubbery front & top panel encrusted with dust which seems impossible to
remove).

Hello
Mine has failed (after 10 years).
I've found this:

Any other recommendations (I'm UK-based) ?
Thanks

Thank you.
Does it have the correct fitting plug (for the Boom) ?
I've read some of the replacements are a bit loose

It works fine with my 2nd Boom's PSU.

The Berls I linked to seems to work fine.
However I'm not an electrical engineer or electrician.
I would be v grateful if someone could run over the spec and compare to
that required by the Boom - is it likely to be ok in the long run ?
Thanks
