It's degregation unfortunately.

I used isopropyl alcohol to clean it up - it seems to soften the
material and you can then wipe it off with a cloth.
I've had to do it twice as the problem comes back.

[SlimDevices: Boom] sticky panel and volume knob

[Redrum]

I just bought a boom of ebay to compliment my receivers and touch. The
control panel and volume knob are sticky to the touch. I saw an earlier
post with no solution to cleaning it, or, if it's a degradation of the
material, so, I thought I would post again:

1) does anyone know of a way to remove the sticky?
2) Or, is it just the material degrading?
3) Finally, the "rubber" on the top of the unit is fine, is this the
same material? Or, is the panel something different?
