Hi Bonner

What capacity are you looking for and how much money do you have available
for this exercise?

Do you have a supplier for green beans?
When I started roasting I found out pretty quickly that it is difficult to
get good quality beans in small quantities where I live. It is much easier
to buy larger (60kg) bags and sell/give coffee to friend's. Problem with a
small 250gr roaster is that a 60kg bag would take 10 days of solid roasting
to use it up. I ended up getting a larger roaster so I can experiment with
more types of coffee and roasting styles.

I have used/owned, a dogs bowl, popcorn maker, gene cafe, and currently own
a Genio 2kg (the only one ever made :-) ). I have also roasted a fair
amount on a Diedrich 12kg fully automated machine and a Probat 12kg manual
for friends.

Good luck with the roasting, is a lot of fun and brings a whole new
dimension to the coffee world.
