Because it is, you know. Totally fake. And so is the site it links to, about medical adoptions. And the dog fighting one... which means the $549 value free dog fight tracking software is fake, too. RE: Brin: Probably not what you meant by Transparency
I had heard about this from a recent post on, I forget -- either el reg or Slashdot. Nowhere was there an implication that it was fake. It's possible this _particular_ url is fake, but there certainly is a real one floating about, whether it's this one or not. Personally I think it's a truly great idea. As for 'a $549 value' application, we can all be certain that this is pure thumbsuck material. feloneyspy.com is fake!! At this point in our nation's history, I don't believe there is any way to even compile such a database, other than the Megan's Law one, which only covers certain sexual offenses. Not that it makes sense to have a registry of them, but not murderers... but that's how it is. Nick On Wed, Apr 30, 2008 at 9:59 AM, David Brin [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Gadzooks. It's more than fake, it's one of several outrageous spoof sites by the same group, including a Medical Adoptions site (slogan: The Organs You Need -- The Home They Deserve) and PuppyProfits.com, promoting canine sport fighting as a home business with a startup kit that includes, among other things, 5 hrs a month of free legal counseling.
