I just got one from South Africa, myself.  Same sort of deal.

I wonder if the government of South Africa will be cracking down harder
than the government of Nigeria on this sort of thing?

Apparently a quite measurable, and in fact maybe significant, percentage
of Nigeria's GNP comes from these scams, so the government there is
reluctant to crack down on it.

And yes, that *was* pretty darn funny.  I loved it!
