Re: [BD] Channel 4/learning
I can think of numerous people who'd wear it. The mental imagery I'm getting isn't pleasant and may haunt me for a long time. [BD] Tour 3 schedule
Hey all, Sorry to blanket-post everyone but our team contact can't get online so FlyghtClub can't get a copy of the T3 schedule. If someone could forward me the schedule, I'd appreciate it. If its split into A, B and women's Tours, just the B Tour please. I appreciate I may end up with numerous e.mails of the same schedule but I don't mind. Thanks in advance, see you all on Tour. [BD] Tour 4
Further to Ewen's e.mail (nearly a week ago). Due to the fact that there are a large number of events coming up over a relatively short period of time. It would be nice to know what is going on with Tour 4 as teams are going to have a fair amount of organising to do in a pretty short space of time. Surely somebody knows what is going on. [BD] Lift to Nottingham FROM Brit Open
Due to various combinations of people playing on each of the 3 days at BritOpen, FlyghtClub are short of lifts for a couple of people back to Nottingham on the Sunday night. Also, if anyone is travelling down on Friday night for 2 days, we have a guy who would be greatly appreciative of your help. Of course, petrol money/beer/good company (at least in 1 case, the other is me ;-) will be supplied. Any help would be awesome as we are already quite short of players. I can be contacted on this address or mobile on 07843679638 Thanks in advance Oscar (FC#28) __ BritDisc mailing list BritDisc@near.me.uk http://zion.ranulf.net/mailman/listinfo/britdisc Staying informed - http://www.ukultimate.com/informed.asp
Re: [BD] Tour schedule
Just to fill in details for comparison and add a simple solution to a minor problem. At Tour 2, Flyght Club 1 had 6 games of 45-60 minutes. I appreciate this was due to the number of teams present not being enough to fill all the pools but I would still have preferred 7 games if we are paying the same money as everyone else in Tour 2 (as I assume we were). My solution to an (unrelated) simple problem is this: If you want more people to watch the final, put the time and location of the Tour A/Womens finals on the Tour B schedule. Then people in Tour B can make an effort to turn up to watch if they wish. Personally, I asked Hannah on the Sunday afternoon and still ended up missing half of the final because we only had the Tour B schedule to refer to. As described in previous posts to Britdisc, the situation as it stands is not fair. At the moment: A Tour (6 x 90 min) B Tour (??) Women's Tour (7 x 45-60 min) I'd be happy with whatever change in schedule is deemed appropriate provided that the following is implemented if there are still big differences in pitch time: ***Have differences in cost for different divisions. Relative costs could be determined by the UKUA according to the schedule and forwarded to TDs, who then set the entry fees accordingly.*** As another aside, the Women's final should also have a slot on its own so that others can watch. I'd say alongside the Open final is fine and people can choose which game to watch or flitter between the two. Both the Open and Women's finals showcase the game at its highest standard and feature some of the top teams in Europe.
