Thanks, Dave. I'll tinker some more on Monday and report back. But this sounds like a system issue and not a brltty 5.4 issue, or at least not something that needs to be coded around. Only the console interrupt issue is something I'll await a fix for from you all. Thanks for all the help, Keith
