I installed this into gnulib (and coreutils) after a Bison installer
noted the issue. I'm not a big fan of -Wswitch-default in general but
here the workaround is harmless.

This is not a bug report. I have a question regarding the dd utility.
The translation from EBCDIC to ASCII depends on the code page. How this
is handled by dd?
The local language has any influence on the conversion?
