I'm not shure if it fits there, however some people asked me
why it's not included in a core package...

On a RHEL4 box, I tried the following commands:
date --date=2007-03-08 10:01 1 minute ago +%Y-%m-%d %H:%M
date --date=2007-03-08 10:01 next 1 minute +%Y-%m-%d %H:%M
The first command returns 2007-03-08 10:00 (which is the output I expected)
However, the second command returns 2001-03-08
