mv-4.0 had a bug, though I don't recall this one causing a segfault.
It has been fixed in test releases for some time.
I recommend that people use the latest test release:
ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/fetish/fileutils-4.0q.tar.gz
Here is what I did, with the number in my prompt being the
exit code according to bash:
