I would like to add a feature request to the issue tracker for `guix
package -u` to have an option for downloading only binaries. If the server
hosting the binaries is down then it doesn't build locally from source. I
don't know how involved this might be given how guix is designed. My use
I have 2 discs in that computer. At first I existentially copied the
boot image to the 2nd disc instead to the USB-stick. than I loaded it
additionally to the USB-stick and booted from it. That had the effect
that the second disc (sdb) wasn't seen by the install media.

and have tried several 'sudo guix system reconfigure config.scm'. But
