I reported a bug about 18 months ago to do with ping -i 1 causing a
flood ping. I was told it was fixed in the repository but can't find an
updated version of inetutils - I use LFS and they still use the version
on gnu.org.
Is there a more recent release or if not can you give me some

case -- where the ncurses headers are just in /usr/include.
Reviewing the configure logs, it seems the script is correctly noticing

Several implementations of ping do quit after N packets. There
is really nothing traditional about it. And there is a way to
force ping to send a unlimited number of packets, `ping -c 0
HOST'.

I wanted to have some alignment on my loghost and I have made a small
patch to syslogd which will put a tab character after the hostname
instead of a space character. A patch to version 1.5 of syslogd is
attachted to this email.
