In my opinion setup.exe does not misbehave.
Windows users usually don't know what the difference is between a click
and a double-click, and they do always double-click on every clickable
thing. If they double click on lilypond, that is interpreted as two
single clicks, so they get to 2.2.5-1.

If this is what happens, then this is a bug. A double click is not

Another question is why this problem has popped up the last few weeks,
even though we have had two alternative versions of the package
available in Cygwin for a long time (is it just since we haven't had
the same incompatibility between the versions before, I doubt it)?

It should never be necessary to set this variable yourself, it
should work out of the box. Do you, by chance, have an installation
of TeXLive on your machine?

Hi Mats,
I updated to lilypond 2.4.2. It didn't work yet. I used an export
TEXMF='{/usr/share/lilypond/2.4.2,/usr/share/texmf}' directive I saw on
the discussion list. Still not working. Some font was missing from Tex,
which was not installed. I installed it and it worked. I don't know what

As far as the install I did from the redhat ftp site, it did not.
