I am happy to announce the relase of GNU MDK 1.3.0, which marks the 20th aniversary of the project. This release upgrades MDK's graphical interface to GTK+ 3.
I've written a brief blog with some impressions on these last 20 years: <https://jao.io/blog/2020-10-31-two-decades-of-gnu-mdk.html> MDK stands for MIX Development Kit, and provides tools for developing and executing, in a MIX virtual machine, MIXAL programs. Project homepage: <http://www.gnu.org/software/mdk/mdk.html> Here are the compressed sources and a GPG detached signature[*]: http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mdk/v1.3.0/mdk-1.3.0.tar.gz http://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mdk/v1.3.0/mdk-1.3.0.tar.gz.sig Use a mirror for higher download bandwidth: https://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html Here are the MD5 and SHA1 checksums: 504d81aeabcd485a94764e6e865840b5 mdk-1.3.0.tar.gz b696f016de4ea2ec038896e093155f34e385536d mdk-1.3.0.tar.gz [*] Use a .sig file to verify that the corresponding file (without the .sig suffix) is intact. First, be sure to download both the .sig file and the corresponding tarball. Then, run a command like this: gpg --verify mdk-1.3.0.tar.gz.sig If that command fails because you don't have the required public key, then run this command to import it: gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 5343A3EC and rerun the 'gpg --verify' command. This release was bootstrapped with the following tools: Autoconf 2.69 Automake 1.16.2 Flex 2.6.4 Happy hacking! jao -- If a listener nods his head when you're explaining your program, wake him up. - Alan Perlis, Epigrams on Programming
