Thanks Karl. Attached is a diff that uses the longtable package. It seems to do the trick, at least for what I need. It also looks like I can script the edits to convert makeinfo's output to this. My knowledge of LaTeX is nil, and is likely to stay that way. I developed this fix by pattern
