The functionality of `Ctrl-s' seems to be severely broken:
Say
bash --noprofile
info texinfo
then press Ctrl-s, then a, then `arrow down' two times, and info
crashes, leaving the terminal in a bad state – see the attached
snapshot for the backtrace.
