Hi Leslie,
None of the GNU Wget tarballs ever contain a Makefile directly. Instead,
the standard way of compiling these programs is to run:
```
$ ./configure && make
```
The configure script will run multiple sanity checks on your system and
create a Makefile for your specific machine. So,
