Couldn't menubar be made such that the text box for each menu title have
a limited size, rather than shortening the titles themselves.
OK, I pushed a change that does this to hgm.nubati.net. It looks as
reasonable as you could expect. In any case _much_ preferable over the
menu bar stretching
1) It may be necessary to have a minimum width, so small texts will not
show less an a letter. Modus in German in size -tiny is close to show less
than an M. It could be worse in other languages.
This suggest tome you would be using too-large a font.
