Would it be an idea to use the auto-repeat by having the piece jump back
and forth,
rather than suppress later events? I am not sure what exactly the sequence
of events
is in Xt on auto-repeat. In Windows there would be one key-down event, one
or more
char events, and finally a key-up event.
I tried it in WinBoard now, and I think I also found the ideal key for this.
Enter in WinBoard as already taken, because it is forwarded to the ICS
console.
(The XBoard equivalent would be to make it trigger sending the message
currently
in the ICS input box.)
