Issue #2917 has been updated by liweitianux. I wrote the DragonFly image to the USB stick under Linux (openSUSE Tumbleweed) with the "dd" command: $ dd if=DragonFly-x86_64-20160512-IMG.img of=/dev/sdb bs=1M where the "/dev/sdb" is my USB stick, and no other extra options used except the "bs=1M"
