*Position: Java Programmer**
Location: Madison, WI area
Duration: 5-6 months

Job Purpose:

**The Java Programmer will work with a team in support of technical
projects. The key to success will be the ability to maintain a sense of
urgency in being quality-focused, results-driven and self-motivated while
developing high-quality technical solutions to business needs. In addition,
the developer would be responsible for learning new technologies and
maintaining excellent documentation of work products.**

Duties:

**Analysis and design of custom solutions or customizations of standard
solutions**
**Develop custom code**
**Unit test custom application development**
**Develop integration interfaces and logic**
**Provide input into technical design documentation**
**Support other technical project resources related to application
development**
**Perform transition/handover for all aspects of solutions developed**
**Provide detail design and documentation of each component of the
solution; such as data migration, integration, and custom development**
**Support of existing applications**

Knowledge:

**Programming technologies such as Java, HTML, XML, AJAX, JSPs, and
JavaScript**
**Experience with PTC’s FlexPLM, Hibernate, Struts, JQuery, and
Scriptaculous would be a plus**
**Knowledge of database platforms such as Oracle and DB2**

Qualifications:

**2+ years direct experience in software development and/or programming
design and development**
**Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business or closely
related field or equivalent experience**
**Strong Object-Oriented background**
**Excellent prioritization and organizational skills**
**Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and be self-directed**
**Demonstrated ability to be a key contributor on a fast-paced team**
**Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills**
**Solid business acumen and ability to communicate non-technically with
business partners**
