*Job Title : Teradata Developer Location : Ft. Mill, SC or Minneapolis, MNDuration : 6+Months ContractSummary:* Looking for another Teradata ETL Developer with Semantic experience. Can be located in Fort Mill, SC (Preferred), or Minneapolis. We are really looking for someone available for contract to hire as he is building up a team. He is not looking for someone to just maintain the ETL Environment but someone who can assist building one out from scrach (End to End DB Development Lifecycle.) SAS Skills are really an ideal nce to have. Teradata tools include BTEQ and Fastload and heavy scripting in UNIX environment as well as Oracle DB experience. Below is his standard Boiler plate ETL Developer Description. *Teradata Background 5+ years working directly with Teradata * ETL Experience SAS, Korn shell SQL ETL is used today- the ability to read and take on other peoples code is important and provide feedback and troubleshooting. 5+ years Heavy scripting in Korn Shell Scripting 2+ years Heavy SQL Query development for ETL and Semantic structures Troubleshooting including re-writes; performance reviews and diagnostics in SQL, SAS and KSH scripts. UNIX /Linux platform background 4+ years Base SAS Programming, development background 5+ years Production Support experience able to react quickly at early hours (midnight to 7am) Willingness to work production support, could be for production, dev or UAT loads including weekend monitoring and updates Sat, Sun mornings as needed (once every 4 to 5 weeks) Database background for SQL queries, in standard DB platforms that could include SQL, Oracle, DB2 5+ years Grasp and comfortable with complex systems and the ability to multi-task as needed. Able to take on complex programs and work within code patterns for dynamic code base. *Teradata ETL Tools/methods:* 1. BTEQ 2. Fastload 3 Multiload 4. TPUMP *Nice to have: * Oracle Experience SQL Plus DBA experience Previous technical Lead Role Data Modeling experience Informatica / Ab Anitio experience High Energy Work includes the following Development Project Work (30 day sprints) Small assignments (1-3 weeks effort) within the SDLC to support business and smaller units of work outside larger 30-45 day sprint deployments. Maintenance work efforts and problem ticket resolution.
