In addition the DBA will assist the development teams in loading data to the database and tuning queries as well as assisting in developing a real-time message base interface to the Data Warehouse environment. The DBA will also be responsible for maintaining the Data Warehouse environments including Dev, QA and prod. As well as tuning the environments performance and setting HA and DR Failover processes. * * *Main Functions* * * · Physical Design and build out of Oracle Database · Maintaining of our Development, Testing and Production Data Warehouse Database environment · Setting-up HA and DR Database environment and failover procedures. · Assist Development Teams in tuning their queries and tuning application. · Tuning and maintaining performance of Data Warehouse database environment * * *Skills Required:* * * · Advanced Computer Science or MIS Degree · 7+ years of experience with Oracle Data base and SQL (Oracle 11) · 5+ years of database design · 3+ years experience in Data Warehousing · 5 + years experience in Financial Services industry. · Strong knowledge of application development and SQL query tuning · Excellent communication and presentation skills · The candidate must be self-motivated, confident and mature.
