Please send us an updated copy of your resume with a daytime, evening phone number, expected compensation in your next job and best time to reach you. *Title : MS-SQL DBA* *Location : San Bruno, CA * *Duration : Long Term* *Job Description:* · MS-SQL & Oracle Database for production, development, and test environments. · Installation, configuration, and upgrade of Microsoft SQL server software and related products. · Oversee database performance and capacity issues as well as issues related to database high availability. · Installation, configuration, and upgrade of Oracle server software and related products. · Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures. · Work with development group for data access and table maintenance. · Implement and maintain database security, by creating and maintaining users and roles and assigning privileges. · Responsible for supporting Oracle Application servers. *Required Skills:* *Oracle databases*. *Oracle 10g, Oracle 9i* and related utilities. Microsoft *SQL server 2008 and 2005* is required, as is experience with related cluster technologies. Knowledge in *SQL server replication methodologies* and *Oracle Standbys*is essential. Must be proficient in *scripting (PL/SQL or SQL Scripting, VBS, Shell/Perl).* Must be proficient in *physical and logical database design*. Must have the ability to perform both database and operating system performance tuning and monitoring. Knowledge of various *hot and cold Oracle backup and recovery scenarios*. Must have experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle. *Netezza* experience a plus.
