*Interview process:** phone + in person (potentially two)* * Pay Rate:** $45/- hr c2c* *GC and USC, GC-EAD only* *JOB SUMMARY* A Software Quality Analyst, Senior works under limited supervision and applies knowledge of the core business systems and applications in their area of functional automation. Defines and performs varied systems tests to measure the quality of applications utilized by the assigned area of business. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* Reviews and enhances test scripts that will be used to measure the quality of the core applications. Coordinates various types of application testing, such as regression, functional, and integration testing. Gathers, analyzes and makes recommendations of formal test results in order to discover defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws as well as articulate those findings to the party responsible for resolution. Collaborates with senior management, analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new or enhanced core applications. Remains current on systems/software changes to those core applications in the area of specialization. Ensures that new software integration into company systems meets quality standards. Generates reports with documentation for all testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging, tracking, and implementation recommendations. Communicates risk and alternatives to project stakeholders and management. Develops considerable knowledge of the core systems and applications used by a line of business and pursues the technical skills necessary to support those applications. Creates and reviews official test strategies and plans. Provides test management services for larger, more complex test efforts. Possesses extensive knowledge of test process methodologies. Researches and implements test process improvements. Implements solutions of test automation tools across applications. Demonstrates leadership and assigns tasks to more junior level test analysts, when appropriate. Plans and participates in training other IT resources on test processes and methodologies. Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required. Where applicable and when performing the responsibilities of the job, employees are accountable to maintain Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and adhere to internal control policies and procedures. *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* Bachelor's degree in a computer science, business or finance related field or equivalent relevant experience. Minimum of six years of experience as a Software Quality Analyst I or four years as a Software Analyst II or equivalent experience in an applications development environment. Minimum of four years of working experience with HP UFT/QTP. Minimum of four years of working experience with HP ALM/QC. One year of experience in the mortgage/banking or financial related field. *KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES* Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, and core applications. Ability to understand the automation framework with limited supervision and should be able to contribute towards enhancing the framework. Ability to design user defined functions and create function libraries. Ability to perform automation using descriptive programming (no record and playback). Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Project, Visio Flowcharting. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Strong organizational and planning skills. Detail oriented. Works well with others. Meets deadlines.
