Job Title: Business Intelligence Developer Location: Nashville,TN Duration: c Required Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, or computer engineering; or a minimum of 4 years related experience in lieu of degree in addition to required experience; Any combination of education and experience will be considered. 4 years experience designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting multi-terabyte data warehouses with database platforms, including Oracle. 3 years experience working with BI reporting and dashboard tools, (e.g. Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Microstrategies, Cognos, Etc…) Extensive knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and query tools (e.g. SQLPlus, Toad, etc.). Strong understanding of relational database structures, theories, principles, and practices. Knowledge of database systems and ETL software tools including best practices and methodologies. Strong data analysis, data architecture and data modeling experience and familiarity with data modeling design tools (e.g. Erwin, PowerDesigner, ERStudio, etc.). Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle methodology as adopted by the organization. Excellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skills. Displays strong written and oral communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills. Ability to conduct research into database issues, standards and products as required. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Thorough understanding of project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc. Understanding of software development lifecycles and methodology. Ability to work independently, positively handle conflict, and work in a fast paced environment. Understands project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, and the change management processes. Certifications in Data Warehousing concepts and techniques. Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools, including Business Objects and Crystal Reports. Familiarity with in-house data-intensive applications, including Cognos Planning Strong knowledge of system and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
