*Responsibilities: *Participate in and coordinate the efforts on the
technical architecture (infrastructure) design with consideration of
capacity, performance, and high availability for the system upgrade and
re-platform. Create and update technical design specifications.
Participate in and participate in the development work including, but not
limited to, the installation and configuration of the system components,
developing/updating scripts, deploying custom code on the new platform, and
building the technical environments for the SDLC phases, including
Development, Testing, Staging, and Production technical environments.
Work with the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications
(DoITT) to resolve technical issues on networking, databases, and virtual
servers.
Work with the project team to open PMR's with IBM, SR's with Oracle and
assist in troubleshooting and resolving problems related to the system
upgrade and re-platform.
Prepare technical documentation for the upgrade and re-platform, including,
but not limited to, Installation and Configuration Guide, Testing and
Validation Plan, Runbook and Troubleshooting Guide.
Communicate with Management on status of the upgrade and re-platform
development efforts.
administering and maintaining Linux OS servers, including executing/writing
scripts for day-to-day functions.
administering and maintaining WebSphere Application Servers from v6 to
v8.5.
Shell Scripting experience required.
Must have the ability to investigate, follow-up with the product vendor and
DoITT to resolve issues.
Understanding of virtualized (VMWare), distributed architecture with High
Availability.
Demonstrated working experience in creating technical specification and
technical support/operation documentation.
