*No H1B OR OPT* *Job Requirements:** 5+ years of L-3 experience required on Veritas NetBackup configuration, implementation, upgrade on various NetBackup versions 7.5/7.6. * Knowledge on Installation/Troubleshooting on NetBackup servers/ NetBackup appliances, Data domain, Quantum Devices, Various tape libraries, VTLs. * Knowledge on configuring AIR replication between NetBackup domains. Troubleshoot backup/restore issues related to replication of backup images. * Very Good hands-on with NetBackup Ops center. Preparing statistical backup reports for management perusal and facilitating deriving growth centric policies, daily NetBackup backup status reports and monthly capacity reports. * Configure & support VMware Backups independently for Veritas NetBackup. * Configure & support Oracle RAC, MS-SQL , MySQL database backups. Hands-on knowledge on NDMP backups for Netapp (NAS). * Experience in Migration of Clients from other backup tools to NetBackup. * Work with software and hardware vendors for technical issues related to backups/restores. * Reconfigure current infrastructure as per the project requirement. Also working with multiple vendors for any project requirement needs. * Troubleshooting frequent backup failures .Configuring hot/cold Catalog backups, and Vault profiles. Configuring backup devices such as robots, tape drives and disks. * Addressing all tickets & technical issues such as down drives, media and master server performance issues, such as slow backups, restore failures etc. * Implementation of NetBackup scripts at various levels for NetBackup to automate backup alerts like scratch tape counts, downed drive and backup status. * Hands on experience with Enterprise level SAN tape libraries and good exposure on advanced backup functions like Synthetic Backups, Pure disk. AIR Replication. * Handling escalated issues related to NetBackup. Perform root cause analysis on the major incidents/problems.
