*Location::: AZ-Arizona/Phoenix Duration::: 12+ months* *Job Description:: *-Owns all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications; -Performs hands-on design, and development of systems; -Functions as a member of an agile team and helps drive consistent development practices – tools, common components, and required documentation; -Develops deep understanding of tie-ins with other systems and platforms within the supported domains; -Works closely with Technical project managers, Product Owners and Architecture on blueprints and annual planning of feature sets that impact multiple platforms and products; -Typically spends 50-75% of time writing code and testing, and remainder of time collaborating with stakeholders through ongoing product/platform releases while managing team members’ professional development; -Provides continuous support for ongoing application availability; -Identifies opportunities to adopt innovative technologies.
*Required Skills/Qualifications: *-5+ years of software development experience; -Knowledge of Merchant business is a strong plus; -Demonstrated experience with Cassandra (Data Modeling, Replication, Performance Tuning); -Experience and expertise in is a plus with Java and related technologies; -Demonstrated experience with Waterfall, Agile or other rapid application development methods; -Demonstrated experience in coding native SQL and No-SQL is required; -Demonstrated experience data utilities (e.g., Event Publisher, Q-Replicator) is a strong plus; -Demonstrated experience with Middleware Utilities (e.g., Data Power, MQ/MQ Series) to build Data Services is a plus; -Ability to effectively communicate across third parties and technical and business product managers on solution design; -Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems -Ability to enable business capabilities through innovation; -Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in how fast they develop working software; -Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience, is preferred; -Experience with payments technology and industry is a plus.
