*Requirement:*
Title: Sr. SAP SM/SD Consultant
Location – NJ
Duration- 6 Months
*Description:*
Provide systems consulting for the SAP Service Management (SM), and Sales
and Distribution (SD) modules, and for the SAP Industry Solution for
Utilities (ISU) including contract accounts, business partner processing,
utility billing, and device management. Includes modifying, maintaining and
documenting these modules/applications, and evaluating business requirements
and recommending to clients and IT management appropriate technological
alternatives. Participate in/conduct technical studies and evaluations of
business requirements and technological alternatives, and recommend
appropriate systems solutions. Provide direction and guidance to developers.
Provide high level specialized technical support and consultation to
business and IT management. Act as the primary technical resource to client
and IT staff in all phases of the development and implementation process.
Provide in-depth technical and business knowledge to ensure efficient
design, programming and implementation. Perform the configuration, testing
and documentation of assigned modules and applications. Map business
requirements to technology capabilities, identify gaps and omissions and
design end-to-end solutions. Participate in the planning and execution of
SAP support pack and version upgrades. Maintain currency in SAP enhancements
and industry trends. Act as Project Manager when required. The ability to
direct a geographically dispersed team of technical consultants is essential
to the successful delivery of projects.
*Required Skills:*
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and
two to five years experience in SAP systems consulting and / or programming,
or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Two or more years systems configuration and transport experience in
the modules mentioned in job description.
• Excellent consultative and interpersonal skills, including
teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation, with the ability to communicate
with all management levels.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to understand and resolve
complex issues.
*Desired:*
• Advanced degree, e.g. Masters of Business Administration, MS in
Computer Science or Information Systems.
• Knowledge of work management and billing processes, process
dependencies and linkages across Enterprise.
• Process Re-engineering Certification.
• Familiarity with Portals, BW, and Business Process Management.
• Experience working with Offshore developers.
*QUALIFICATIONS:*
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and at
least two to five years of work experience in systems and applications
programming, and a working knowledge of available systems alternatives and
technology, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Requires excellent analytical ability, consultative and
communication skills, strong judgment and the ability to work effectively
with client and IT management and staff.
• Must understand the systems development process and have a solid
understanding of business processes.
