*Position: QA Automation **Lead* *Location: **Costa Mesa, CA * *Duration: 6 Months+ Extension * *Rate: $58/hr on C2C* *Required: **Locals only*** *Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:* * Experian Consumer Services UK&I division is working to create new cloud based platform in brand new architecture. We are planning to create Automation framework to support new application development in cloud platform to be validated thru automation by following BDD \ ATDD methodology. Goal is to cover 100% API testing and 80% UI testing thru automation scripts. * *Whoever accepts this position need to help the team setup automation framework using Robot framework \ Cucumber to support our automation goal and setup failure notifications thru Jenkins – Slack integration and setup automation coverage dashboard thru Jenkins. Help our QA engineers to ramp up in writing test scripts in this new framework by providing them guidance and validate their scripts to maintain the automation codebase clean. * *Whoever accepts this position to have clean understanding of Jenkins, GIT, branching strategies, Agile \ scrum experience, having puppet \ ruby \ any programming knowledge will be a plus. * · *Good written and oral communications skills. * · *Strong organizational skills. * · *Inquisitive and analytical. * · *Unwavering attention to detail. * · *Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. * · *Ability and initiative to work independently. * · *2+ years of automation experience required. * · *General understanding of basic database structure concepts. * · *Intermediate level of knowledge on the Selenium automated tests tool and the ability to create and run automated scripts. * · *Familiarity with the software development life cycle, specifically with the agile scrum test methodology.* · *Analyzes failure/success of automated scripts and makes modifications as required.* · *Verifies software operation to ensure functional and technical requirements have been met.* · *Performs system integration, functional, regression, and user interface testing on modifications and enhancements prior to production releases.* · *Creates and facilitates User Acceptance testing, as needed.* · *Facilitate API testing, Integration and load testing* Internal/External Groups with which the Candidate will interface: *Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, QA & Leadership* How does this roll up to your overall business strategy? This automation engineer will play a key role in defining our automation framework and achieving our automation coverage goal in the new architecture. Required Skills: Preferred Skills: 1. 2+ years of experience in implementing any automation framework from the ground up. 1. Performance testing, Accessibility testing 2. Python / Ruby / any programming language experience 2. Branching strategy with GIT 3. Having knowledge in Selenium web driver 3. Having knowledge in Cucumber \ Robot framework 4. Prior experience with a Jenkins setup 4. Gherkin language 5. Prior experience in a software design and testing environment 5.
