The intent of our projects are to provide insight to day-to-day operations of BestBuy.com applications. This projects depend on jQuery + AngularJS for the frontend and PHP + Laravel for the backend. The ideal candidate: • Is self-directed and shared collective ownership for design decisions • Uses the best tools for the job, be those open source or otherwise • Comfortable in a pair programming environment • Strongly favors TDD and BDD development methodologies • Up to date with current tools and techniques • Comfortable working in an agile environment Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for: Developing Working in Paired Programming Environment Unit testing Quality Assurance of unit testing Work with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Chef and Vagrant (bonus) What would a normal day for this position look like?? Experienced PHP Ninja - 5 + Years PHP Developer Experience. Experienced JavaScript Application Developer (AngularJS Bonus) Experience working with and creating web services. Experience with MVC Architectural Patterns. Understanding of Client / Server RESTful Communications (WebSockets Bonus) Experience with: Laravel, Symfony, or Zend frameworks Cloud Concepts based on OpenStack, AWS, or other Cloud Providers – Bonus Understanding of Concurrent and Parallel programing concepts. (Bonus) Object Oriented Programming Continuous Integration What are the soft skills that you feel candidates must-have in order to be successful in this role?
