Powerbuilder Pittsburgh,PA (Need Loacl or who can go for F2F) 12-18 month contract We are currently seeking a Mid-Senior Programmer with a focus on PowerBuilder development. This positsition provides proficient programming services, defines technical requirements, designs, develops and/or maintains computer applications/systems, and provides services to meet product information technology (IT) and business needs. Requirements: Strong analytical skills are required. Must be able to work within a team environment with little to no supervision and having the ability to perform self-directed activities. Projects will include development of: Software Products, mobile device support, and development of the next generation of the product suite. The ideal candidate has typically completed a four-year academic degree including courses in computer programming, systems analysis, system development, or systems engineering OR has acquired Core IT skills and knowledge via practical experience. Specific preferences include: 8+ years experience in application development encompassing design, development, maintenance, support, and enhancement of applications. 5+ years application development experience using PowerBuilder technology required. 5+ years application development experience using SQL programming required. Knowledge of HL7, electronic health care systems, X12 transactions a plus Strong oral and written communication skills are required. Strong problem solving skills are required. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as on small teams, and be able to lead small teams.
