**·         **Setting up,  Managing, Scheduling, Monitoring and
Troubleshooting SQL Server Jobs****

**·         **Understanding of TSQL Syntax and be able to right queries for
data extraction and reporting****

**·         **Determining and resolving Blocking/Deadlocking issues****

**·         **Basic Database Concepts including Relational Databases
(Entity/Referential/Domain Integrity) and Normalization****

**·         **Resolving SQL Server related Connectivity/Security Issues****

**·         **Database Maintenance including Backup/Restore, Attach/Detach,
and various DBCC commands****

**·         **Setting up and Managing Database Recovery Models. Making sure
that these do not adversly  effect Database and Log Backups****

**·         **SQL Server Table Index design and implementation****

**·         **Query Optimization concepts. Including Join queries (Hash
Join, Merge Join, and Nested Loop Join). How do Indexes, Statisitics and
Fragmentation effect query performance****

**·         **Database Design, Implementation, Maintenance, and Optimization
****

**·         **Stored Procedures and Triggers Design and Implementation****

**·         **Creating, Scheduling and Troubleshooting SQL DTS and SQL SSIS
Packages****

**·         **SQL Server Profiler Trace****

**·         **Setting Up and Interpreting Performance Monitor****

**·         **Using Windows API’s for managing Scheduled Tasks/Services and
collecting System Stats****

**·         ******Reading**** and writing MS-DOS code ( .BAT/ .CMD) for
processes like File Copy/Move, File CRC check, Collecting File stats and
Collecting Files lists****

**·         **Read Pearl scripts to troubleshoot problems with the system***
*

**·         **Schedule automated tasks for Moving Data to various locations*
***

**·         **Communicate effectively with the Business Team****

**·         **Communicate effectively with the Feed providers. Keep the
escalation document updated as needed****

**·         **Update the Process Documents as and when needed ****

**·         **Identify Code problems and enhancements for the various
processes.  Effectively communicate the issues to the Dev team and Document
the changes****

**·         **Monitor SAN Drives using the EMC2 PowerPath Console****

**·         **Monitor and run EMC2Replication Manager Clone jobs****
