May be in future we can get in touch. * **Job Title : Senior Java Consultant* *Location : Santa Monica, CA* *Duration : 6 Months+*** * * *Job Description:* As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a high caliber team responsible for developing the current and next generation of advertiser and user facing systems for Business.com, the premier B2B directory & search engine on the internet, and DexKnows.com, the leading provider of local commercial search. *Responsibilities* - Design, develop and maintain web-based systems or applications involving Spring Framework and JEE technologies - Build or configure web pages, screens, and reporting solutions - Modify, repair, or enhance existing software to correct errors, increase efficiency, upgrade interfaces, or improve performance - Write and contribute to technical documentation. Create test scripts and perform detailed unit testing and analysis on software and systems. Work with operations staff to troubleshoot and maintain production systems. - Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Analyze project requirements and make recommendations as appropriate. *Skills/Qualifications* - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline. - Two or more years of experience with Spring Framework. - Five or more years of development experience in Java and JEE (JSP, Servlets, Tag Libraries) on UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows. - Extensive experience with using relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle or DB2). - Experience using Web Servers (Apache) and J2EE Application Servers and specifically experience with Tomcat and ActiveMQ is a plus. - Experience with Domain Driven Design & Development is a plus. - Experience with online advertising is a strong plus. - Experience with XML and Web Services. - Experience with full development life cycle. - Experience with mission critical, high volume OLTP systems. - Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work well with end-users and developers. - Strong work ethic, creativity, intelligence, and a high level of professionalism and integrity. *Working Conditions* - Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
