*Duration: 6 month contract * *Must Have:* - *VDI Engineering experience * - VMware View engineering – doing large enterprise deployment, maintenance and upkeep of a complex, multi-site, large user base environment, involved in mission critical deployments - Must be Highly proficient with engineering complex solutions using virtualization technologies from VMware, including: Horizon View, ESXi, VDI, ThinApp, vSphere, vCenter - Significant engineering experience with multiple operating systems: Windows XP, 7, 8. Windows Server 2008, 2008R2, - 2012, Linux (SUSE, RedHat) *Plus:* - VMware Horizon View expertise - PowerShell, Perl scripting - Retail experience - Global experience – offshore models and international affiliates *D2D:* This company needs a VDI/View Engineer who has worked in a large, complex environment. This is NOT an operational position, this is higher level engineering that goes beyond enabling users/loading applications. They will be transitioning work off to the operations team and on a daily basis they will be working on the continuous deployment cycle to start designing/expanding/improving the environment until they’re ready for next version of the technology and then deploy it again. They’ll be working on improvement projects, working as needed on environments as new customers come online find out needs of the environment and work all the way through to deployment.
