*Short Description:* We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses
a passion for cutting edge mobile technology and will work with a small
team of talented
engineers and designers to design and build a mobile application as part of
a larger system involving multiple desktop and web applications, giving
mobile users access to video recorded on a separate, body worn camera.
These applications will allow for video review and metadata assignment at
specific times ('tagging'), export, redaction of sensitive data, and more
on body cameras in the field as well as file storage locations (local
server, cloud).The application will use the latest security standards.
Opportunities for advancement and permanent employment.
*Responsibilities: *
· Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and
ship new features.
· Work with outside data sources (MSSQL) and API's
· Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
· Test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and
general reliability.
· Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
· Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies
to maximize development efficiency.
· Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing
related work as needed.
*Requirements: *
· BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a
technical field (such as CIS or IT)
· 4+ years of software development experience
· 4+ years of Android development
· Have published at least one original Android app
· Experience with Android SDK
· Experience working with video streaming to mobile
· Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
· Flexible, available schedule
