looking for a senior systems engineer Bellevue WA, a privately-held invention 
investment company. Driven by the belief that invention sparks progress, 
they're committed to creating and sustaining a market for invention through 
innovation, partnership, licensing and sales programs.</p> <p><strong>Minimum 
Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>10+ years’ experience in Systems with 
direct contact with customer and end-users.</li> <li>5+ years’ experience 
installing, supporting and troubleshooting Microsoft Applications including 
SharePoint, Exchange and SQL in a production environment.</li> <li>Must have 
experience with variety of Microsoft and networking applications.</li> 
<li>Flexible schedule as this job may require occasional night or weekend 
work.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> 
<li>Implement, maintain, and upgrade IT services including, but is not limited 
to: applications, availability metrics, backup, custom applications, database, 
disaster recovery, email, management strategy, management tools, performance 
tools, security, voice, and web.</li> <li>Schedule and coordinate server and 
network hardware maintenance windows with support personnel.</li> 
<li>Coordinate application deployments with support personnel and project 
managers.</li> <li>Manage relationships with outside VARs and service 
providers.</li> <li>Escalation of issues to higher-level technical personnel or 
vendors as appropriate.</li> <li>Remote support and on-call hours may be 
required.</li> <li>Implementing &amp; tuning server monitoring and alerting, 
utilizing SCOM.</li> <li>Maintain, secure, and update Active Directory.</li> 
<li>Support for ADFS, Axapta, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL, IIS, Microsoft 
Clusters and File &amp; Print servers, and Tableau.</li> <li>Deployment and 
support of VMware vSphere hosts &amp; VMs.</li> <li>Troubleshooting and problem 
resolution for complex server issues.</li> <li>Maintains system security and 
integrity of data and computing resources and takes corrective actions as 
necessary, in compliance with company and industry standards</li> <li>Provides 
second level support to issues related to Windows client/server infrastructure 
and interoperability. Ensure complete resolution of issues.</li> <li>Address 
operational systems issues including file and share permissions, user accounts 
and installing applications</li> <li>Participate in release management 
functions, in coordination with Application Management group</li> <li>Promote 
and maintain server patch management practices.</li> <li>Develops scripts for 
automation of systems tasks, utilizing PowerShell, and WMI</li> <li>Manage and 
participate in projects as assigned, and work with team members across the 
company to deliver project goals</li> <li>Research and evaluate new 
technologies and present recommendations and justifications on hardware and 
software purchases</li> <li>Provide mentoring and cross-training of team 
members and client operations staff</li> <li>Documentation for peers and other 
staff</li>
